We'd like to get to know your child
It is important for us to have a chance to get to know your child. For that reason we have implemented a 3 day integration system. This way your child has a chance to adjust to their new setting as well. There are exceptions of course, sometimes your child may need an extra day or two to adjust or may settle in on the first or second day.
We strive to provide as much activity as we can in the program. We spend as much time outside year-round, not just warmer months. In the winter months, we make the effort to go out daily.
We ask that your child arrives no later that 9:30 am, as our program begins at that time. If your child has a doctors appointment in the morning, an exception is made, but please be at the centre no later than 11:30 am.
Sandy Hill Child Care acknowledges the City of Ottawa and the Ministry of Education for their continued financial efforts to ensure that a high quality, affordable program is available to all the families in our community.
Sandy Hill Child Care is a play based centre. We offer the opportunity for learning through play-based experiences. A large part of our program consists of using loose parts. Loose parts allow the children to take everyday items and use their imaginations to create. We capture and post these experiences through visual documentation.
Our hours are 7:30am-5:45pm.
Parents are required to register their children using the centralized waiting list, prior to placement.
